Horizonte Cuadrado

HorizonteCuadrado

The chilean Compañia de Paso presented a stunning trapeze spectacle in Prater Berlin in june 2009. From june 11th to 21st they presented one hour of radical social confrontations in the fathomless borderland between heaven and earth. An "angled horizon", the Horizonte cuadrado, replaces the classic circus dome and the ubiquitous option that the artists might lose their footing makes the audience almost dispneic. Because the whereabout of the artists is not actually cushy. A small tube, held only by two ropes, some sort of hyphen of a swinging base for a story of love, treason, power, powerlessness, violence, passion, desperation, confidence and joy in accelerating sequences that decline, acuminate and solve extreme situations until finally all artists meet to crest the Horizonte cuadrado together.

In collaboration with the production office interCult, Culturalis was the PR and marketing office for this guest performance.
